Phra Somdejs are Thai amulets made of ingredients (Wan), stone / clay (Din) and various metal’ alloying, as well as extremely seldom of silver or gold. All have one thing in common a Buddha in meditation posture (the hands lying in the lap) sitting on a multi-level throne. |

Original Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang Ruun Patiharn Phim Yai Nuea Thong Daeng from the Wat Rakhang Kositaram Woramahaviharn (briefly Wat Rakhang), Thonburi, Bangkok Noi, Bangkok, Thailand, from the year BE 2546 (2003).
The amulet was poured from old holy metals (Loo Boran) and copper (Thong Daeng) in the Wat Rakhang in a small series of only 9.999 amulets and was consecrated by the most famous monks of Thailand.

The amulet was created on the occasion of the visit of his Majesties king Bhumibol Rama 9 of Thailand and queen Sirikit of Thailand in the Wat Banrai.
Luang Pho Koon is one of the few still living "quite great" monks of Thailand. He belongs worldwide to the most famous monks of the kingdom of Thailand. There is probably no one in Thailand who doesn`t know Luang Pho Koon.
