Still till the 70s many Thais on the weekday of their birth wore at least a garment in the colour assigned to the weekday. For example, the colour yellow is assigned to Monday. His majesty, king Bhumibol, was born on Monday. That's why his coat of arms flag is yellow, and, therefore, Thais wear a yellow Polo shirt or T-shirt on the feasts which are dedicated to the king. Moreover there are the weekday Buddhas, for emxample, to every weekday a Buddha's statue or Buddha's representation is assigned which shows Buddha in a specific position (Mudra).
