Takrut Thai amulets are hardly known in Europe, although it concerns one of the oldest protective amulet kinds. A Takrut is as a rule a long amulet, mostly from metal existently which is marked by the monks with Pali protection, luck and blessing formulae. They exist in different dimensions, forms and materials.

This are the most important Takrut kinds: They exist as a belt which one binds under the clothes around the hip, as a pendant, as a bracelet (Sai Sin), as a cartridge, which one puts in the pocket or as a Leklai which is pushed by monks in the inside of the upper arms under the skin.
