Phaa Yahns (holy cloth) are amulets made from holy cloth from different materials, from the wide-meshed cotton cloth, to sateen and the precious velvet cloth everything exists. Mostly Phaa Yahn amulets serve for the protection of people, houses or flats and shops, or they should give health, luck and prosperity to the owner. According to purpose one takes the Phaa Yahn either along, deposits it in the car or at home. There it is hung (with or without frame) on the wall or is placed on the house altar.
