Thai Amulet Ruup Muean Somdej Phra Sangkarat 10/3/2009

Ruup Muean Nuea Pong Ruun Chalong Phra Chan Phansa 96 Pii from his holiness, the 19. Supreme Patriarchen of Thailand, Somdej Phra Nyanasamvara (Phra Somdej Sangkarat) from the Wat Bowornivet (Wat Bowon), Khet Banglampoo, Bangkok, Thailand, from the 10/3/2552 (03.10.2009).

The amulet were created on the occasion of the 96. birthday from 108 holy ingredients and were consecrated by 108 important Monks in the Ubosoth of the Wat Bowon.

On the front there is the Portrait of his holiness Somdej Phra Sangkarat. The back shows the crest of his holiness with the stroke „Chalong Phra Chan Phansa 96 Pii 3-10-2552“.

The amulet is in a silvery metal casing, height approx. 4.9 cm, width approx. 3.3 cm, thickness approx. 1.6 cm and weight approx. 16 grams. With the amulet you receive the original temple amulet box which is marked as follows: „3-10-2552“.

The amulet protects its wearer against accidents, disasters, misfortune and illness and give him a Long live. It gives luck, prosperity, wealth (Ruai)) and a good life without Need. The Wat Bowon is the domicile of the Supreme patriarch of Thailand, the head of all Thai monks and temples at home and abroad. His majesty king Mongkut Rama IV of Siam domiciliated in 1836 in Wat Bowon and assumed some years later the office of the abbot. He administrated this until shortly before his coronation to the king of Siam in 1851. Since then most male members of the Thai royal family ordained in Wat Bowon to the monk. So also his majesty king Bhumibol Rama IX von Thailand and his son, the crown prince of Thailand, Varijalongkorn, as well as his sons.

Somdej Phra Sangkarat was born on Friday 03rd of October, 1913, in the year of the ox, in Ban Nua, Müang, Kanchanaburi, Siam (Thailand). He ordained on the 12th of June, 1933 in Wat Devasangharam, Kanchanaburi, in 1972 the title "Somdet" (royal one) was bestowed upon him and in 1989 he assumed the office of the Supreme patriarch. He is the first Supreme patriarch of Thailand who does not come from the rows of the royal Family.

His holiness Somdej Phra Sangkarat (สมเด็จพระญาณสังวร สมเด็จพระสังฆราช) passed away on Thursday the 10/24/2013, at 19:30 o'clock local time at the age of 100 years and 21 days, after 80 Phansa as a Monk, in the King Chulalogkorn Memorial Hospital (โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์), Bangkok, as a result of a blood poisoning.
