Palad Khik Metta Maha Sanee Thai amulet from the venerable Luang Phu Chan Hoom Supathoro, abbot of Wat Bung Khee Lek, Amphoe Khemarat, Tambon Na Waeng, Changwat Ubon Ratchathani, Isaan, north-east Thailand.
Luang Phu Chan Hoom belongs to the great masters of the province of Ubon Ratchathani, particularly his Takrut protective amulets are desired throughout Thailand very much. He produces these personally only in small series and in old traditional kind by hand.
Falsely Palat Khiks or Thai amulets with a phallic representation are offered mostly as a fertility symbol or are associated even with eroticism and sex. De facto it concerns with most Palat Khiks, nevertheless, amulets for financial and business success or protective amulets.
The venerable Luang Phu Chan Hoom created the amulets in a small series on the occasion of his 87th birthday in the year B.E. 2550 (2007).
The Palad Khik exists of wood. In the sides Pali formulae for luck and prosperity are to be seen which the venerable Luang Phu Chan Hoom has scratched personally by hand.
The Palad Khik is not to be worn around the neck, but around the hip. For this purpose it is in an approx. 125 cm long monk's cord. One may carry it also in a short piece of cord in the belt loop of the trousers or in the jacket pocket and in the act suitcase with oneself. The Palad Khik is approx. 6.4 cm long, approx. 1.2 cm wide and approx. 1.2 cm thick, as well as 10 grammes (without cord).
The amulet gives luck in financial and business matters to its owner. It contributes to the fact that its wearer is highly esteemed with other persons and that they meet him with sympathy, trust and respect.Thereby a feeling of community and harmony originates what leads, e.g., with persons who are active in the farthest sense in the sales of goods and services to the sales, order or completion of the contract.
Luang Phu Chan Hoom was born in the Ban Na Euead, Amphoe Sri Mueang Mai, Changwat Ubon Ratchathani, Isaan, Siam (today Thailand).
In the early infancy his family moved to Laos where he ordained at the age of 12 years to the novice (Buat Naen). After his "basic education" he went as a Phra Thudong (forest monk and wanderings monk) on wanderings through Laos and Cambodia where he let himself instruct by the great masters of the magic.
At the age of 21 years he returned to Laos and ordained to the monk (Buat Phra). Short time after his ordination he went first once again on decades lasting wanderings to let himself instruct by the great masters of the Visha Khameen (Khmer magic) in Cambodia.
Then he returned in his native country Thailand and settled in Wat Sawang Wanaram in the Ban Boong Muang, Tambon Na Waeng, Amphoe Khemarat, Changwat Ubon Ratchathani, Isaan.
Then later he assumed the office of the abbot in Wat Bung Khee Lek, Amphoe Khemarat, Tambon Na Waeng, Changwat Ubon Ratchathani, Isaan, north-east Thailand.
