Rarity – Phra Rian Nuea Thong Daeng Ruun Pii Set amulet from the venerable Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho, abbot of Wat Banrai, Tambon Kut Piman, Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Isan, north-east Thailand from the 10/4/2517 (1974).

Luang Pho Koon belongs to the most honoured and best known monks of Thailand. He is known outside Thailand and is revered worldwide. In all land parts one finds his photos and statues on the house altars, in shops, banks, hotels, restaurants and offices. There is hardly any Thai, who does not know Luang Pho Koon.

Luang Pho Koon amulets protect against illness, misfortune and accidents. They give luck, good bargains (with independently active and enterprisers), prosperity and a good as well as long life.

The amulet belongs in Thailand to the popular collector's rarities, because it concerns a small series from the beginning times of the venerable Luang Pho Koon.

The amulet shows the portrait of the venerable Luang Pho Koon with the stroke "Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho Wat Banrai Amphoe Dan Khun Thot Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima" on the front.

The back shows a Yahn for luck, good bargains and prosperity as well as for protection against illness, misfortune and accident. The stroke is: "Tieralueg Srang Kuthi Song Wat Sra Kaew Amphoe Mueang Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima Ruun Pii Set 4-10-2517".

The amulet is in a silvery metal casing, height approx. 4.6 cm width approx. 2.8 cm, thickness approx. 1.2 cm and weight approx. 16 grammes.

The amulet protects its wearer against illness, misfortune and accident. It gives him luck, a "happy hand" in financial and business matters as well as prosperity and a good life.

Luang Pho Koon was born on Thursday 4th of October 2466 (1923) as first child of Mrs Thongkao and Mr Bun Chatphongrang at Tambon Kut Phiman, Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima, northeast-Thailand.

His parents were working as paddy farmers. His grandfather, Da Lood, has been well-known in Dan Khun Thot because of his invulnerability and his spiritual forces. Furthermore he had a rich faculty of the old indian language called „Pali“ as well as of the cambodian language. Luang Pho Koon has two younger sisters. His mother died a few years after the birth of his second sister.

At the age of 7 years the grandfather of Luang Pho Koon, whose complete monkname reads as follows: Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho, took him to Luang Pho Cheum, Luang Pho Chai und Luang Pho Lee. They teached him Thai and Pali. At the age of 9 years, when Luang Pho Koon was on his way home from the temple, he saw a man, who was possessed by a demon. He took a wooden bludgeon and talked insistently to the demon. Then he coshed the man with the wooden bludgeon. The man collapsed, then he stood up and didn`t know what had happened.

This was the first demonexpulsion Luang Pho Koon did, at the age of 9 years!

In the 5/5/2486 (1943), at the age of 20 years, Luang Pho Koon ordained in the Wat Thanon Hak Yai, Kut Phiman, Dan Khun Thot, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat).  His official monkname reads as follows: Phra Thep Vitthayakom. His Mentor was the venerable Luang Pho Wijahn Dtigit, abbot of the monastery. During the next 5 years Luang Pho Kong (Phra Tudong), Luang Pho Daeng und Luang Pho Suk belonged to his most important teachers. Thereafter Luang Pho Koon went on a retreat in the deepest woods of Thailand, Laos und Cambodia.

After 10 years of living as a Phra Tudong, Luang Pho Koon went back to Kut Phiman and began with the reconstruction of the then completely forfeited Wat Banrai. Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho is a living legend and by far the most famous monk of Thailand! Today he is the most adored monk of his country and has bettered the degree of popularity and the talent of his teachers yet a long time ago.
