Luang Pho Koon Thai Amulet Phra Rian Ruun Koon 84

Phra Rian Koon 84 Nuea Nawa Thai amulet from the venerable Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho, abbot of Wat Banrai, Tambon Kut Piman, Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Isan, north-east Thailand, from the 10/4/2550 (2007). Luang Pho Koon created the amulet on the occasion of his 84th birthday in a numbered small series of only 18,400 amulets. Here the amulet with the serial number 15193 is offered.

Luang Pho Koon was one of the few still living "quite great" monks of Thailand. He belongs worldwide to the most famous monks of the kingdom of Thailand. There is probably no one in Thailand who doesn`t know Luang Pho Koon. One finds images and photos of him nationally in many households, shops, banks, restaurants as well as offices beside or on the altar. His popularity is caused not at least by his amulets which are valid as especially protecting and luck-giving.

The amulet exists of that, after gold and silver, second most expensive alloy Nawa. Nawa is an alloy from old holy metals and silver. It is equally desired with collectors and believers, because the Nuea Nawa versions are always limited because of the high material costs and production costs.

There are 4 alloys of the Rian Koon 84 amulets, these are Nuea Thongkam (fine gold, only 840 pieces), Nuea Nawa (silver alloy), Nuea Dagrua (alloy of lead, also limited) and Nuea Thong Daeng Pasom.

The amulet shows the venerable Luang Pho Koon with the stroke Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho and the serial number 15193 on the front.

The back shows in the middle the signature of Luang Pho Koon, under it the stroke "Koon 84" and on the edge the stroke „Wat Banrai Tambon Kut Piman Amphoer Dan Khun Thot Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima 4-10-2550“ are to be seen.

The amulet is in a silvery metal casing, height approx. 4.9 cm, width approx. 3.3 cm, thickness approx. 1.2 cm and weight approx. 25 grammes. The amulet is delivered together with the original temple amulet box which is marked as follows: "Phra Thep Vitthayakom Koon Parisuttho Ruun Khun 84 Wat Banrai Amphoe Dan Khun Thot Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima 4-10-2550".

The amulet protects its wearer against illness, misfortune and accidents, it helps him to reach a happy and long life in health and prosperity.

Luang Pho Koon was born on Thursday 4th of October 2466 (1923) as first child of Mrs Thongkao and Mr Bun Chatphongrang at Tambon Kut Phiman, Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima, north-East-Thailand.

His parents were working as paddy farmers. His grandfather, Da Lood, has been well-known in Dan Khun Thot because of his invulnerability and his spiritual forces. Furthermore he had a rich faculty of the old indian language called „Pali“ as well as of the cambodian language. Luang Pho Koon has two younger sisters. His mother died a few years after the birth of his second sister.

At the age of 7 years the grandfather of Luang Pho Koon, whose complete monkname reads as follows: Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho, took him to Luang Pho Cheum, Luang Pho Chai und Luang Pho Lee. They teached him Thai and Pali. At the age of 9 years, when Luang Pho Koon was on his way home from the temple, he saw a man, who was possessed by a demon. He took a wooden bludgeon and talked insistently to the demon. Then he coshed the man with the wooden bludgeon. The man collapsed, then he stood up and didn`t know what had happened.

This was the first demonexpulsion Luang Pho Koon did, at the age of 9 years!

On the 05.05.2486 (1943), at the age of 20 years, Luang Pho Koon ordained at Wat Thanon Hak Yai, Kut Phiman, Dan Khun Thot, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat). His official monkname reads as follows: Phra Thep Vitthayakom. His Mentor was the venerable Luang Pho Wijahn Dtigit, abbot of the monastery. During the next 5 years Luang Pho Kong (Phra Tudong), Luang Pho Daeng und Luang Pho Suk belonged to his most important teachers. Thereafter Luang Pho Koon went on a retreat in the deepest woods of Thailand, Laos und Cambodia.

After 10 years of living as a Phra Tudong, Luang Pho Koon went back to Kut Phiman and began with the reconstruction of the then completely forfeited Wat Banrai. Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho is a living legend and by far the most famous monk of Thailand! Today he is the most adored monk of his country and has bettered the degree of popularity and the talent of his teachers yet a long time ago.

The venerable Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho passed away, Saturday the 5/16/2558 (2015) at 11:45 o`clock local time at the age of 91 years, 7 month after 72 Phansa as a Monk, in the Maharat Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima, as a result of a cardiopulmonary arrest. Hundreds of thousands of his followers paid him their last respects.
