Original Chao Khun Nor Thai amulet statue from the venerable Chao Khun Nor, Wat Thepserin Thrawas, Bangkok, Thailand from the friday the 24.12.2547 (2004).

The statue is approx. 18 cm high, approx. 11.30 cm wide and approx. 13.70 cm deep.

In Thailand, Phra Chao Khun Nor is considered the "patron saint" of cancer, AIDS, seriously ill and disabled people.

The statues were issued on the occasion of the upcoming 108th birthday of the venerable Phra Chao Khun Nor and the 72nd birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand, as well as the 119th anniversary of the Thepserin School of Wat Thepserin. There are four different sizes of statues, which have been limited in different numbers. Of the statue offered here, which is the largest with a height of approx. 18 cm, only 999 pieces were cast, which is a small number for Thailand. You can find more statues and Chao Khun Nor amulets in our shop.

The venerable Chao Khun Nor was the private secretary and a close confidant of his majesty king Vajiravudh Rama VI of Siam and was decorated by this already as a young man with the highest title of nobility of the kingdom Siam, "Chao Phraya" (colloquially "Chao Khun"), for his merits.

After his majesty passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, Chao Khun Nor gave away his whole property and decided to renounce to honour of his beloved king, to the worldly life and to become a monk. He ordained only one day before the royal combustion ceremony. He dedicated his monk's life or the religious salaries (Tambun) which he acquired thereby, to his beloved king.

Chao Khun Nor left Wat Thepsirin up to his passing away, in the 1/8/1971 (BE 2513), no more. The venerable Phra Chao Khun Nor passed away as a result of cancer in his Kuthi (monk's lodging) in the Wat Thepserin. He was found having passed away peacefully, with a smile on the face and the hands folded up for the last Wai.

Only a few months before his passing away Chao Khun Nor created his first amulets. He belonged to the greatest monks of his time and was a monk of the highest accomplishment. He respected the 227 monk rules to the last detail. You may learn more about this unusual monk on the German web page "chao khun nor.de".

Chao Khun Nor amulets are valid as a special protection for sufferers, sick people, terminally ill people and for by illness moribund people. Besides they protect their wearers from danger as well as illness and give luck in any regard.

Chao Khun Nor amulets belong to the most popular amulets among collectors in Thailand and, therefore, are accordingly precious and rare.
