By 108 Monks consecrated Buddha Statue Luang Pho Sothon

Original Luang Pho Sothon (Phra Phutta Sothon) Buddha Statue Ruun Mongkoln Maha Baramee 85 Nuea Khad Ngao from the venerable Phra Ratcha Mongkoln Klarangsi, abbot of Wat Sothon Wararam Wora Viharn (colloquially called Wat Phra Phutta Sothon or Wat Luang Pho Sothon), Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Chachoengsao, Thailand, from Sunday the 1/19/2557 (2014). It concerns a numbered small series of only 499 statues. Here the Statue with the number 156 is offered. The statue was poured on the holy ground of Wat Sothon. The statues was awarded only to people who had reserved and paid them in november 2013 in the Wat Sothon.

The Luang Pho Sothon statue was poured on the holy ground of the Wat Sothon on Saturday the 12th October BE 2556 (2013) coincident the statues were consecrated by 9 importance Monks among others from Luang Phi Namfon, abbot of the Wat Pailom in Nakhon Pathom. Prathan Wan Tae Thong, Monk of the ceremonies, was the venerable Chao Khun Phra Ratcha Phaowana Pithan, second abbot of the Wat Sothon.

The Buddha statue was poured from saksit loaded ancient holy metals.

On the base front the chakra wheel and the emblem of her royal Highness princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn who is called by the people affectionately Phra Thep (noble angel). The inscription „Phra Phutta Sothon Ruun Mongkoln Maha Baramee 85“ is on the base front. At the back of the base there is the Temple Yahn of Wat Sothon and the serial number „156“ to be seen and the Thai character „Soo Tooh“ which are the signature of her royal Highness princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. In the underside an amulet is embedded, which created especially for this Phra Bucha statue.

The statue is approx. 22 cm high, approx. 19.7 cm wide, approx. 10 cm deep and approx. 1,320 grammes. The statue is delivered together with the original temple carton, which is marked as follows: „Phra Phutta Sothon Ruun Mongkoln Maha Baramee 85“.

The statue was consecrated on Sunday the 1/19/2014 from 13:09 o´clock till 17:59 o´clock in the Ubosoth of Wat Sothon by Phra Ratcha Mongkoln Klarangsi and 108 performed monks who belong to the most famous monks of Thailand.

The Luang Pho Sothon Buddha Statue gives to its owner luck in the private and in the professional area as well as in financial and business matters. With investments and funds it gives to its owner a "happy hand". The statue gives luck, health and prosperity to its owner. It protects him against illness, accidents and misfortune, as well as against other natural dangers.

The Wat Sothon is one of the nine most sacred sites in Thailand and Phra Phutta Sothon, one of the nine most sacred Buddha Statues of the kingdom is enthroned here. Colloquially the gilt Buddha in Samâdhi-position is called Luang Pho Sothon and it is only 1.98 metres high and 1.65 meters wide.

After 15 years of construction time the Bot has been completed and consecrated in 1997. It is 84 metres high and as such the highest Ubosoth in the world. A large temple feast is organised twice a year (April and November) in honour of Phra Phutta Sothon which believers from all over the world travel to.

The BOT has been consecrated for 9 days and 9 nights by the 108 „most important“ monks from Thailand including the Patriarch Monk, head of all Thai monks in Thailand and abroad.

The Royal Highnesses King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit, Crownprince Maha Vajiralongkorn and Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn attended this ceremony.

Please, note that this concerns a real temple Buddha and not an adornment object! Accordingly respectful the statue should be treated and be put up at an adequate place.
