Jatukam Ramathep thai amulet watch from the venerable Phra Khru Thep Vinyaporn, abbot of Wat Phra Mahathat Woramaha Viharn, briefly Wat Phra Mahathat or Wat Mahathat, Amphoe Mueang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, south Thailand, from 2549 (2006). It concerns, on this occasion, a numbered miniseries of only 250 watches.
The watch has the serial number 9 of 250 and is with it for collectors an incomparable precious object! The chance to receive an amulet from a numbered miniseries with the serial number 1 or 9 is almost as low, as the chance of a lotto profit, because amulets with the serial number 1 and 9 remain as a rule in the possession of the temple or the abbot of the temple.
Wat Mahathat is a royal temple first class and one of the oldest temples of Thailand. On its area stands the 74 metre high Phra Baromathat Chedi which is surrounded by 174 small Chedis and in which there is a Buddha's relic. After the tradition it concerns one or several teeth of Buddha.
The clock-face exists of a silvered Jatukam amulet which was created especially for these watches in Wat Mahathat. The amulet could not be acquired separately.
It concerns, on this occasion, an amulet of the "First Hour" which was created before the "Jatukam hysteria" has broken out in July, 2007. The amulet shows Jatukam Ramathep, the divine angel (Rama = divine / royal and Thep = angel), the protector and luck bringer (health, prosperity and a long life) of the people.
The high-grade steel case with mineral glass has without crown a diameter of approx. 37 mm and a height of approx. 10 mm. The bracelet exists of black Italian anti-allergy leather with croc coinage and white edge seams as well as a polished high-grade steel fastening. The coinage "GENUINE ITALIAN LEATHER ANTI ALLERGY" is on the inside. The case ground shows the Wat Mahathat and the stroke "all stainless steel" and "50 M waterresistant" as well as „serial no. 9/250“.
The watch is absolutely as new, uncarried and is fully functioning. The original protective foils are still on the glass and the case ground. It is delivered with the original casket.
