Sian Pho Kae Longya Daeng Fang Ploy Thai amulet

Sian Pho Kae Longya Daeng Fang Ploy Thai amulet from the venerable Luang Phu Toon Gantasilo, in his lifetime abbot of Wat Khao Noi Kiriwan, Tambon Klong Kiev, Amphoe Ban Büng, Changwad Chonburi, Thailand.

It concerns with this amulet one of the last by Luang Phu Toon created and consecrated amulet series, only a few weeks later the venerable Luang Phu Toon passed away after 56 Phansa as a monk, at the age of 86 years.

Luang Phu Toon belonged to the great monks and masters of the Visha of the province of Chonburi. His amulets are particularly liked among traders, businessmen, distribution employees, advisers and other occupations which have to do in the farthest sense with selling or with trading. Also gamblers and occupational players trust in his amulets, because these should give particularly a lot of luck in financial matters.

It gives to its owner, luck, mental strength, energy, charisma and persuasive power. Besides it should contribute to the fact that the dialog partner / buyer likes the wearer what leads to the contract or to the sales.

The amulet shows a Pho Kae. It is in a handmade and gilt dimension casing, height approx. 5.3 cm, width approx. 3.6 cm, thickness approx. 1.8 cm and weight approx. 31 grammes.

A Pho Kae, also Lersi, Phra Lersi or Than Lersi called, is a hermit who obeys the ancient ascetic apprenticeships. He does not belong to the Sangha (community of the monks), but obeys the traditional laws of the Indian hermits. He practices himself in asceticism, in the complete renunciation of all earthly.

The Lersis are valid as omniscient. They know the past, the present and the future.

At the moment there are known in Thailand in particular 108 Phra Lersis, nevertheless, one believes that far more of them live in sheet huts and caves, in the border areas to Laos, Cambodia and Burma. Although the Phra Lersis are no Buddhists in the real sense, they are high revered and respected by the population.

The Phra Lersis are herbalists and healers, they live exclusively from what the nature offers them as food. The incalculable sign of a Phra Lersi is his garment from tiger skin with a pot-shaped hat. These are most old, thin men with long beards.
After the old Indian traditions the Phra Lersis received their knowledge from the gods and hand it exclusively over to men from generation to generation.

Therefore, the Phra Lersis are adored particularly by students and graduates. A Phra Lersi amulet should make the student a knowing one.

The Phra Lersis are valid as founder of the Thai (Buddhist?) magic, therefore one often finds a Phra Lersi with practising magicians on the altar, because he protects against bad magic and ghosts. Phra Lersis are also called for certain ceremonies and rituals and are asked for help.

Everyone, who searches protection against ghosts, black magic and negative energy, as well as Voodoo magic in Thailand, wears a Phra Lersi amulet or even better one that was made by a Phra Lersi.

Luang Phu Toon was born in the year of the pig, on Monday, the 7/2/2466 (1923), in the Tambon Wat Luang, Amphoe Panasnikhom, Changwad Chonburi, Siam. His parents were Mr. Gim and Mrs. Daeng Lüang Oon.

In the year of the dragon, on Saturday, the 6/14/2495 (1952), at the age of 29 years, he ordained in Wat Nern Sang Saditdaram, Tambon Rai Laak Thong, Amphoe Panasnikhom, Changwad Chonburi.

In 1954 he changed to Wat Büng Bon, Amphoe Ban Büng, Changwad Chonburi. 15 years later, on Friday, the 5/23/2512, he took over the office as an abbot of Wat Khao Noi Kiriwan which he held up to his passing away, on Wednesday, the 4/30/2551 (2008).
