Meed Paagaa Ruun Pid Thong Fang Luug Nimit Thai amulet from the venerable Phra Khru Suchitaporn, abbot of Wat Nook, Kaeng Kuha Sawao, Khet Pasee Charoen, Bangkok, Thailand, from the 2/17/2545 (2002). The venerable Phra Khru Suchitaporn created the Meed Paagaa in a numbered small series of only 999 pieces. Here the Meed Paagaa with the serial number 944 is offered.
The Meed Paagaa was consecrated on the occasion of the festivities of the laying of the foundation stone "Pid Thong Fang Luug Nimit" for the Ubosoth of Wat Nook from the 2/9/2545 up to the 2/17/2545 (2002) by 108 monks. It was published for the financing of the new building of the Ubosoth and is with it an especially holy and rare amulet.
It is the unobtrusive variation of the classical Meed Moh (protective amulet). It is preferred by modern, mostly younger Thais as for example managers, doctors, lawyers, policemen, soldiers and other women and men who do not renounce the protection of a Meed Moh, but don`t want to carry a "old-fashioned" Meed Moh with themself.
At first view it looks like a normal modern fountain pen. When the fountain pen is unscrewed, the Meed Paagaa is visible. Both sides of the blade are marked with Pali protective formulae. The engraving "Wat Nook Bangkok" is on the right blade side in front at the head. The laser engraving with the Yahn of the venerable Phra Khru Suchitaporn and the serial number 944 are on the cap.
The knife is not sharpened and neither is thought or suited for the reaping nor for the other activities for which one needs a knife! The Meed Paagaa is approx. 13 cm long in the closed state and has at the cap a thickness of approx. 1.2 cm, as well as a weight of approx. 20 grammes.
One carries it along in the breast pocket or lays it on the altar or on a central place in the flat or in the house. One can also carry it along in the glove compartment, act suitcase or the handbag, provided that one practices a profession by which one is exposed constantly to negative energy or dangers.
The Meed Paagaa protects its wearer against attacks, misfortune, illness and accidents, as well as against bad ghosts, black magic, witchcraft, Voodoo, Visha Khameen, imprecations, negative energy and other magic methods which are directed against its owner.
This amulet is suited particularly for people who are daily exposed to dangers or negative energy, as for example soldiers, policemen, bodyguards, value transport driver, occupational motorist, construction worker, security staff, nursing staff, life adviser, electrician and people with similar occupations.
