Luang Phu Thuat Statue from Wat Chang Hai Thai Amulet ...

Luang Phu Thuad statue Ruun Nang Baln Lang Ngu Nuea Thong Lueang from the Wat Chang Hai, Amphoe Khok Po, Changwad Patthani, south Thailand.

The statue shows the venerable Luang Phu Thuad on a cobra seated with his ball meditating. The statue is approx. 12 cm high, approx. 9.7 cm wide, approx. 7.5 cm deep and approx. 520 grammes.

The statue was consecrated in the 8/25/2010 by the venerable Luang Phi Kaweerat, abbot of Wat Katanyutaram, once more.

Luang Phu Thuad was born in the year of the dragon, on Friday in April of 2125 (1582) in Ban Sua Chan, Tambon Chumphon, Mueang Chathingphra, Changwat Songkhla, south Thailand. His parents were Mr. Huu and Mrs. Chan, the surname is not delivered.

In 2132 (1589), at the age of 7 years, he began his Buddhist education with Somphan Chuag in the Wat Deeluang in Songkhla. In 2140 (1597), at the age of 15 years, the venerable Luang Phu Thuad ordained in the same temple to the novice (Buat Naen).

5 years later, in 2145 (1602), he ordained to the monk (Buat Phra) in the Samnak Phra Maha Thera Piya Thatsi in the province of Nakhon Sri Thammarat. He received the monk's name "Rama Thammigo".

Luang Phu Thuad passed away during a Malaysia trip and was transferred to Wat Chang Hai. The exact date of death is unknown, nevertheless, he should have become 108 years old, after the tradition.
