He helped to build many temples and nonprofit organizations and this not only in Thailand, but also in south Malaysia and Singapore as well as in Sri Lanka, at a time in which there were neither cars nor railways or airplanes. Luang Phu Thuad lived more than 400 years ago!
Luang Phu Thuad had unusual magic abilities how the following tradition shows. The stroke "Luang Phu Thuad Yiab Nam Talee Chüd" refers to this occurrence.
The venerable Luang Phu Thuad lived for a long time in the area of Songkhla (south Thailand), in the Wat Phra Kho which lies at the Songkhla lake. From there pirates had kidnapped him. When a storm made their ship unable to manoeuvre, the drinking water stocks came to an end very fast and the sailors had to suffer thirst.
In their misery they asked the venerable Luang Phu Thuad for help. He put his left foot into the water and the salt water became fresh water. From gratitude the pirates brought him back to the Wat Phra Kho which was protected since that day by the the pirates.
The back of the amulet shows a circle of 10 Rahoo Om Dschan representations. Below these the 12 Chinese signs of the zodiac are illustrated circularly. In the middle the angel Jatukam Ramathep, the divine angel (Rama = divine / royal and Thep = angel) who is the protector and luck bringer (health, prosperity and a long life) of the people is to be seen on a lotus throne seated.
The amulet is in a handmade, gilt and watertight dimension casing, height approx. 7.1 cm, width approx. 6.0 cm, thickness approx. 2.2 cm and weight approx. 47 grammes. The chain was consecrated on 9 successive days in 9 single ceremonies. The first consecration took place in the 3/1/2550 in the Salm Lak Mueang in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The second, third and fourth ceremony were held in the Phra Barom Saririkka That Chedi of the Wat Khong Kha Lieb. On the consecration days five to nine the amulets were consecrated in front of the Phra Prathan (main Buddha), in the old Ubosoth of the Wat Khong Kha Lieb.
The amulet gives health, luck and prosperity to its owner and protects him against illness, misfortune and accidents.
