By 132 monks consecrated Phra Pong Rian Roo 5 Throng Yindee Ruun Srang Rong Payaban Thai amulet from the venerable Chao Khun Thongchai (also Chao Khun Thong Chai), abbot of Wat Traimit Witthayaram, Charoenkrung Road, Khet Sampan Thawong, Bangkok, Thailand, from the year B.E. 2535 (1992).
This amulet series is a preciousness which there is only seldom. It was consecrated by a total of 132 monks in 6 temples and in all four cardinal directions of Thailand.
In the Wat Traimit there is the 3.50-metre-high and approx. 700 years-old Golden Sukhothai Buddha, a Buddha statue which exists of 5.5 tonnes of pure gold. Its material value is estimated at approx. 60 million euros!
The statue was discovered in 1956 only by chance. It had to be moved because of construction work on the weight-bearing elements of Wat Traimit, thereby, a rope of the crane ripped and it crashed on the ground. Thereby the external cover, which existed of tone broke and revealed the famous „Golden Buddha“. Up to this time nobody knew, what an unbelievable legacy and property was standing in the Wat Traimit. Till this day the origin of the statue is uncleared.
The amulet was created by the venerable Chao Khun Thongchai from 108 holy ingredients to the support of the financing of the Phan Thong hospital in the Tambon Phan Thong, Amphoe Phan Thong, Changwat Chonburi and was consecrated in front of the golden Buddha.
Afterwards it was consecrated by his holiness, the Supreme patriarch of Thailand, Somdej Phra Sangkarat and 107 other monks, in the Ubosoth, in front of the the Phra Prathan (main Buddha) of Wat Bowon (Wat Bowonnivet Vihara), Amphoe Phra Nakhon, Changwat Bangkok, central Thailand.
From there the amulets were sent to the Wat Phra Singh, Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Chiang Mai, northern Thailand and were consecrated there. Then they were brought to the Wat Boon Yün, Tambon Wiang Nüa, Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Lampang, northern Thailand, where they were consecrated by the dear and known outside Thailand, Luang Pho Kasem Kemmako.
From the north they came to the east to the Wat Phrathat Phanom, Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Nakhon Panom, east Thailand where they were consecrated by the venerable Luang Pho Koon Parisuttho, abbot of Wat Banrai.
In the end they started on their journey to the south, to the Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat (briefly Wat Mahathat), Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Nakhon Sri Thammrat where they were consecrated by the venerable Luang Pho Nong (a nephew of the legendary Luang Pho Derm).
Afterwards they were brought again to the Wat Traimit in Bangkok where their more than 2,000-km trip ended.
The amulet shows his majesty king Chulalongkorn Rama V of Siam with the stroke "Chulalongkorn Hat Barom Ratcha Thirachino" on the front.
The back shows a mythical "angel" (Thep) for protection against illness, accident and misfortune. Beside his leg stands a sign with the emblem of his majesty king Chulalongkorn Rama V of Siam. In the laurel wreath in front of the angel the stroke "Sagamin Bhoramarat Thu Thipawat" is to be seen. In the upper edge there is the stroke "Phu Srang Rong Payaban Phan Thong Chanwat Chonburi". In the lower edge the annual number 2535 is to be seen which represents the issue year after Buddhist calendar what corresponds to 1992 (B.E. 2554 = 2011).
The amulet protects its wearer against illness, accident and misfortune. It gives to him health, luck and a long life.
The amulet is in a silvery metal casing, height approx. 4.1 cm, width approx. 3.5 cm, thickness approx. 1.5 cm and weight approx. 13 grammes.
