Handmade Nook Salika Khu Thai amulet from the venerable Luang Pho Noi (Phra Khru Baitheeka Nhukaew Baribunangnasilo), abbot of Wat Ban Mai Sri Suk, Ban Mai Sri Suk, Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima, Isan, north-east Thailand. Luang Pho Noi created the amulet in a small series of only 199 pieces.
Luang Pho Noi has been Sit Aek (favourite disciple) of the venerable Luang Pho Khun Parisuttho. In Thailand he is known for his effective Nook Khum, Salika Khu and Khun Paen amulets which give luck particularly in financial and business matters. His Khun Paen amulets are valid as women magnet what makes them very popular with many Thai men.
He carved the Salika Khu (bird's couple) from the wood of a holy tree which stands on the temple area. He painted the birds by hand and consecrated them during 9 days and 9 nights, before they were provided with a heart-shaped and watertight dimension casing. Afterwards he inscribed every amulet with a Pali formula for luck in the love. Afterwards he inscribed copper-Takruts (Pali scrolls) with luck giving and prosperity giving Yahnts and Pali formulae. For the protection from damages the Takruts were covered with an elastic tube. The amulet with both Takruts is in an adjustable cord which fits comfortably over every head. The amulet is approx. 3.8 cm high, approx. 2.6 cm wide and approx. 0.7 cm thick. The Takruts are approx. 3.5 cm long and approx. 0.5 cm thick. A Katha (incantation) which you receive in written translation belongs to the amulet.
It is an amulet for couples and married couples as well as for lonesome hearts which are searching for a partner. The amulet should be harmonising in the relationship and strengthen the love, so that this never ends. It helps lonesome hearts to find to each other. It contributes to the fact that the wearer seems to be interesting, attractively and engagingly, so that one feels attracted by him / by her and searches for his / her nearness.
Besides the amulet is also suitable for people who earn their keep in the farthest sense with talking and/or selling, as for example businessmen, enterprisers, freelances and field representatives as well as shop assistants and services, because the amulet generates a feeling of harmony and amicable goodwill with customers and with the staff. This leads among shop assistants and advisers to the sales or order / completion of the contract and with executives to a raised productiveness and less discrepancies with employees.
Luang Pho Noi was Sit Aek (favourite pupil) of the venerable Luang Pho Khun, abbot Wat Banrai, for many years. From him he learnt among other things Pali, Nang Samathi (meditation) and the creation of effective amulets. After his "years of apprenticeship" with the venerable Luang Pho Khun he first went for several years as a Phra Thudong to the woods of Thailand, Laos, Burma and to Cambodia where he learnt the mysterious magic arts of the Phra Khameen. After his return he established the Wat Ban Mai Sri Suk not far away from Wat Banrai. Since a long time there is a persistent rumour that the venerable Luang Pho Khun has determined Luang Pho Noi for his successor as abbot of Wat Banrai in the case of his passing away. Though it concerns an unconfirmed rumour, however, in most rumours there is a granule of truth.
