Consecrated Buddha bracelets are one of the oldest forms of Thailand amulets, originally they consisted of a white or colored cotton thread, and are tied around a worshipper’s wrist or are given into a women’s hand. Meanwhile, there are hundreds of color and variations of styles including also wood, stone, metal- or silver takrut.
In Thailand the bracelet is called Sai Sin and is braided as homework by old people reciting Pali texts. It is an amulet that cannot be recognized as such immediately! |
